Our mould testing uses fluorometric analysis to measure markers associated with mould contamination in a sample. It does not identify mould species. The purpose of the analysis is to provide measurable evidence of mould contamination at the sampled location.
How testing worksDetailed written reports, commissioned for an additional charge, can connect results to sample locations, supplied context and observations from any agreed attendance. We explain the findings and the limits of the work carried out.
What your report includesTell us what decision the testing needs to support. We agree the samples, purpose and price before work starts, so you know what to expect.
Speak to our teamCheck which locations were sampled, why they were selected and what the investigation was intended to establish. Results describe those samples and the conditions recorded at the time; they do not establish the condition of unsampled areas.
Reports can support property records and discussions about repairs, remediation or insurance. They do not replace repairs, medical advice, legal advice or statutory duties. Read our testing and report limits before relying on the findings for a particular decision.
For contractor and insurer surface-sampling kits, findings relate to the surface sample received and the details your team supplies. A send-in service does not include an Aerolyse property inspection. We agree suitable sampling instructions, return arrangements and reporting times before you send samples.

Postal testing is for suitable surface samples. Airborne mould testing requires Aerolyse to attend the property. Sample analysis and your test result are included. Detailed written interpretive reports are available separately for an additional charge.
